The Cursed Crusade
A French made game, The Cursed Crusade follows a templar who is travelling on a crusade but with his personal agenda. A second player can take the role of his travelling partner, the Spaniard.
The player will find themselves in multiple different middle age castles filled with enemy soldiers. Each one is to be taken out by any means necessary. The “means” revolve primarily around finding a weapon that is not broken. Most of the time one will not even notice that they are fighting with the last 3 inches of a sword that didn't break on the first swing.
The plot revolves around removing a curse that has been placed upon the protagonist along with the Spaniard. This curse allows the characters to slip into a hellish alternate reality where they take on demonic attributes. Oh, and the weapons don’t break while in this dimension.
The Cursed Crusade brings RPG elements to table with points that can improve moves each genre of weapon. But, this dynamic would automatically cancel itself out by breaking the weapon you are working on. Thus causing you to waist said points until you cross the same weapon that isn't broken.
This game is an experience to say the least and is taken best when not taken seriously. Instead enjoy pick up up any weapon in sight, swinging it for a minute, break it and repeat.
